1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using UniShare, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
2. Eligibility
UniShare is exclusively available to students with valid university email addresses and invitation codes. You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to use our services.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to UniShare. By posting content, you grant UniShare a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and technical purposes), distribute, publicly display, and create derivative works of your content to operate, maintain, promote, and improve the platform.
5. In‑App Currency and Payouts
UniShare may provide virtual points or in‑app currency (for example, IQ points) that can be redeemed for cash or other benefits subject to eligibility and applicable laws.
- Conversion rates are disclosed in‑app and may change over time; the rate applicable to a payout is the rate confirmed at the time you submit your payout request.
- Payouts may require identity verification and compliance checks. We may hold or reverse payouts in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or chargebacks.
- We may maintain a reasonable reserve/holdback period to finalize metrics, quality checks, and handle disputes.
6. Selling or Licensing Content to UniShare
When you upload resources to the public library/marketplace to be monetized through UniShare, you grant UniShare a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty‑free license to store, host, reproduce, adapt, distribute, publicly display, and create derivative works of that content for the purposes of operating, marketing, monetizing, and improving the service, including after you delete the content from your account.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Deletion Restrictions During Payouts
To preserve the integrity of payouts and prevent abuse, any monetized resource uploaded before a payout request (regardless of the payout\u2019s status) is locked from deletion for a settlement/retention window. During this window, you cannot permanently delete affected resources. For assistance, please contact UniShare Support at support@unishare.com.
- If you submit a payout request, all monetized resources uploaded prior to the request time may be retained for settlement, audit, and compliance purposes.
- After the retention window ends, you can request deletion subject to legal and operational requirements. UniShare may retain archival copies as permitted by law and for business records.
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any activity that violates these terms, including but not limited to: sharing unauthorized copyrighted material, posting offensive content, attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, or using the platform for any illegal purpose.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, particularly if we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in inappropriate behavior on our platform.
7. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of UniShare after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
UniShare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our platform.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which UniShare operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
